7:30 – Call to Order and urgent announcements regarding conduct of meeting, followed by motion to approve the agenda with any changes this evening.

7:35 – Compassion & Choices. Mr. Robert Landau will present info about efforts to promote ‘Death with Dignity’ and change Maryland law. Read more at compassionandchoices.org.

7:55 – NCPCA Bylaws & Membership Dues. The following were discussed on Jan. 10. Formal motions will be accepted today for vote on March 14. NCPCA Bylaws are at myncpca.org/legal.

  1. Change to Article 1 Name. The following text is proposed for addition to the Bylaws, after the current text:
    NCPCA is incorporated in the State of Maryland as North College Park Citizens Association, and uses that name for all tax and legal purposes.
  2. Change to Article IV Membership Section 3. The following text is proposed for deletion: The Association may, in addition to dues, assess an annual mailing fee to cover the cost of sending the newsletter and other communications by postal mail.
  3. Bylaws Change to Article V Meeting Section 5 Quorum. A quorum at a meeting shall be at least seven NCPCA members.
  4. Dues. Dues of NCPCA shall be $10 per year, starting on June 1 and ending on May 31, 2020. Note: Dues must be paid before the NCPCA officer elections on June 9, 2019.

8:10 – NCPCA Picnic Update. Marci Booth will present the latest information about planning for a picnic event in Spring, 2019.

8:20 – NCPCA City Budget Priorities. The list of City budget priorities was sent by email and will be posted with brief recap at the meeting. The current list follows below. We will add additions and then participate in a fun exercise to identify our priorities. A summary will be presented at the end of the meeting.

8:30 – Break & Refreshments. Members are always welcome to bring something to share while all of us enjoy a quick break and complete the budget priorities exercise.

8:40 – P.G. Zoning Code Rewrite Update. The latest info about NCPCA efforts to understand the new zoning code and any changes that should be pursued under advisement of our legal counsel.

8:50 – Approval of Minutes, Officers Reports. Minutes of our January 10 meeting will be approved, and NCPCA Officers will provide reports. Topics will include Branchville Chick-Fil-A, Duvall Field Forum, other topics.

8:55 – Announcements. Elected officials, members and guests will make announcements of activities and upcoming events of interest.

9:00 – Summary of Budget Priorities. The results will be presented, and letter will be sent to Mayor & Council.

9:05 – New Business by motion of members, followed by call for new topics for discussion tonight, or for discussion at our next meeting on March 14 as time allows. This is your opportunity to bring up topics of concern and possible action.

9:30 – Motion to continue meeting will be in order, otherwise we adjourn at 9:30 and exit the building by 9:45 pm.
