College Park Fourth of July Parade

The City is having a Fourth of July Parade!

Parade Info: Monday, July 4, 2022, 11:00 a.m., on Rhode Island Avenue ending at Duvall Field.

The City is looking for City based organizations and groups, including marching bands, military units, classic/custom vehicles, dogs/animals, equestrian groups, majorettes, fire/police vehicles, cheer-leading squads, local organizations/groups, performers, motorized floats, clown/humorist entries, girl and boy scouts, and many others. The parade will be limited to a family friendly, general audience program.

Prizes will be awarded for the best entries in each category.

Notice:  Temporary Road Closure on Monday, July 4, 2022

Rhode Island Avenue will be temporarily closed to traffic on Monday, July 4, 2022 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm for the City of College Park’s Fourth of July Parade. During the closure, driving and parking will be prohibited on Rhode Island Avenue between Cherokee Street and Hollywood Shopping Center. All intersections leading to Rhode Island Ave will also be closed. Only local traffic will be permitted at Hollywood Shopping Center, Blackfoot Place, or Cherokee Street. To avoid the parade route, northbound drivers are encouraged to use MD 193 to Route One, and then take a right onto Edgewood Road. Southbound drivers are encouraged to take Edgewood Road to Route One and turn left onto MD 193.

Police will be in attendance to assist drivers; we apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
