Call to Order

President Alaina Pitt calls the meeting to order and opens with a moment of silence. 

President Report

  • RST development will be at the city council meeting on Tuesday, December 13 to present their development plans. President Pitt gives a brief overview of the development. 
  • Paint Branch developers will be returning to show their updates plans at January city council meeting. 
  • Events survey has been postponed to allow for the creation of a larger and more comprehensive survey.
  • Welcome Wagon is being finalized before being passed out to new neighbors.

Treasurer’s Report

  • Treasurer Melissa Peterson thanks former treasurer Carol Macknis for aiding in the transfer. 
  • Current checking account balance is $2123.23. 
  • Savings account $322.96. 
  • Treasurer Peterson will look into possibly getting a higher yield account. 

Minutes

  • President Pitt solicits a motion to approve May minutes. David Alicea motions to approve with second by Angel Frangos. Vote is held. Ayes have it and motion passes. 
  • David motions to approve October meeting minutes. Melissa Peterson seconds. Minutes pass by vote. 

Community Announcements

  • Councilman Fazlul Kabir makes announcements regarding city funding and election sites. 
  • St. Theodore’s Greek Orthodox Church (Lanham) is having a dessert sale on December 4th from noon-5pm. 
  • President Pitt highlights other events and projects around the community. 
  • President Pitt forwards a neighbor’s idea about having a tree lighting ceremony. The tree could be planted on Arbor Day and be ready for tree lighting by the holidays. More details to come. 

President Pitt solicits motions to adjourn the meeting at 7:49. Angel Frangos motions to adjourn, with David Alicea seconding. Meeting adjourns.
