2023 Committee Formation

At the next regular meeting following the President’s director appointments, members present vote to approve the appointments of new board directors. We are currently seeking volunteers charged with operating 3 new committees: Events, Development, and Finance. These new committees will each play a vital role in executing the NCPCA mission of Stimulating interest and devising ways and means of promoting the community welfare through collective action, community engagement, and knowledge sharing.

If you wish to serve on the NCPCA board as a new director in charge of chairing a committee, please read the by-laws and email ncpcivic@gmail.com stating which committee you are interested in chairing and which article and section of the by-laws describes director appointments.

Events Committee

The Events Committee of the North College Park Community Association (NCPCA) is dedicated to creating space for community to grow by organizing and executing a wide range of engaging and enjoyable events for residents of all ages. This committee serves as the heartbeat of our community, fostering a sense of togetherness and connection among our neighbors.

  • Planning and coordinating community events such as festivals, seasonal celebrations, and cultural gatherings.
  • Collaborating with local businesses, schools, and organizations to host joint events that promote community engagement.
  • Organizing volunteer teams to assist in event setup, management, and cleanup.
  • Ensuring events are inclusive and accessible to all residents.

Development Committee

The Development Committee within the North College Park Community Association (NCPCA) plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our neighborhood by monitoring and providing input on zoning matters and new construction projects. This committee ensures that development in our community aligns with our shared vision and enhances the overall character of North College Park.

  • Reviewing zoning applications and proposed land use changes in the community.
  • Engaging with local developers to advocate for community interests and concerns.
  • Collaborating with city officials and planners to ensure that development aligns with the community’s long-term vision.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee’s mission is to maintain transparency, accountability, and sustainability in the financial operations of the NCPCA, ensuring that our resources are used wisely to benefit our community.

  • Developing and monitoring the annual budget, including income and expenses.
  • Assisting with compliance and required reporting activities.
  • Identifying and executing fundraising initiatives to support community projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with other committees to allocate funds for community events and projects.
