VP Clary followed up on the Member Engagement Survey. 18 responses were fielded with results to be shared with NCPCA officers based on relevant subject matter. Feedback will be solicited to see if changes made fit what was desired—possibly in a follow-up survey.
He then presented the results from the survey to the group. Angel Papaspyrou asked about how the survey had been put together. According to her, the survey felt skewed toward certain outcomes. VP Clary noted that the survey was compiled in a joint effort by the board. Events Director Mary Roop spoke about her eagerness to get the survey out to the group to gain membership feedback for event planning.

Development Committee Report
Hollywood sidewalk construction was completed, thought some cleanup remains. Sidewalk repairs took place on Edgewood Rd. A gap was repaired on Blackfoot Rd. Director Wray also noted that he wrote the survey questions related to development.
George Papaspyrou asked about the makeup of the development committee and what kind of interaction the committee had with the city. He then offered his interest in joining the committee.
Events Committee Update
Director Roop highlighted upcoming events in the city. This included the Tuesday, December 17 crime meeting at Davis Hall at 7pm. She thanked those who came to the NCPCA coffee social, which takes place the Sunday before regular NCPCA meetings. The final NCPCA event of the year is tree decorating, the time for which has yet to be decided upon. Voting for the Deck the City Christmas light decorating contest takes place between Devember 17 and 19 on Facebook.
She then gave a rundown of events related responses from the member survey.
Angel suggested an NCPCA meetup on second Saturdays during the farmers market. She also said that the farmers market could invite local businesses—which Director Roop noted might be difficult due to potential licensing and permitting issues. In relation to food trucks, Councilmember Jacob Hernandez noted that the county had loosened restrictions on food trucks but the property owner would still need to sign off. This led to a discussion about the state building at the same property. David Turley noted that an issue with the tree decorating is the drivers with the city needing to get a CDL.
Unscheduled Motions and Announcements
President Alicea solicited unscheduled motions or announcements. CM Hernandez noted that on February 4th there would be a discussion of a charter amendment related to the extending voting to 16 year olds. He encouraged people to come to the public safety meetings. He also encouraged people to reach out about the budget.
Laura Rogers asked if there could be a ribbon cutting for the new sidewalk.
The constituent service member for Councilmember Tom Dernoga announced that Dernoga made a statement about the new Concentra occupational health center and made announcements related to environmental initiatives in the city and newletters offered by the Councilmember’s office. CM Alan Hew also spoke about the Concentra center.
